Carolyn Hall Wilkes, 84, of Lake Park, GA passed away Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at South Georgia Medical Center. She was born in Hahira, GA on December 30, 1936 to the late Foster and Chrystelle Hall. Carolyn was a retired LPN from Smith Hospital in Hahira. She was a member of Lake Park First Baptist Church and the Eastern Star. Carolyn graduated from Hahira High School, enjoyed fishing, spending time with family and camping.
She is survived by her three sons and daughters in law, Ray and Carol Stalvey of Macon, Rod and Missy Stalvey of Valdosta and Rex and Lisa Stalvey of Brunswick, seven grandchildren, Grayson Stalvey (Tamar), Lisa Brormann (Koen), Holly Boswell (Glenn), Wade Stalvey (Veronica), Sam Stalvey (Morgan), Ben Stalvey and Peyton Cox, four great grandchildren, Edward Stalvey, Hope Stalvey, Rose Stalvey and Violet Boswell, her brother and sister in law, James H. and Linda Hall of Hahira and special niece, Michelle Cottle (Dusty) and nephew, Jim Hall (Donna). Carolyn is predeceased by her sister and brother in law, Octavia and Johnnie Kytle, former husbands, Lonnie R. Stalvey, Robert E. Tindall and Charles Wilkes.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, November 28, 2021 at three p. m. at the Martin McLane Funeral Home in Hahira with Reverend Robert Dawson officiating. A private burial will take place at a later date at Fellowship Cemetery near Cecil, GA. The family will receive friends prior to the service from two until three p. m. at the funeral home.
