    Steven D. Traub

    Resident of Dahlonega Steven D. Traub, 47, passed away peacefully, December 10, 2018, after waging a courageous battle for over a year against cancer.  He did so with the bravery, grace, determination, and thoughtfulness of others—personality traits that earmarked his entire life.  He is survived by the love of his life, his earth angel and fiancé Christina Callender, his parents, Don and Ellie, his brother and best friend Randy and his nephew Cameron.     Janett Shreffler

    Resident of Dahlonega Mrs. Janett Shreffler, age 83, of Dahlonega passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2018. Mrs. Shreffler was a native and lifelong resident of Lumpkin County.  She was born on January 10, 1935 to the late Jess and Bessie Moose Thomasson.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter Ginger Shreffler Lee; granddaughter Erica Berry; son-in-law C.F. Lingerfelt; sisters Jessie Mae Thomasson, Bertha Lingerfelt, Bonnie Wheeler, Rita Campbell, Dorothy Thomasson, and Glenda Shoffeitt; and brothers David Thomasson, and Bobby Lee Thomasson.   Mrs. Shreffler retired from Pinetree/Mohawk Industries after many years of dedicated work.  She loved to color and cook.  Mrs. Shreffler loved her…

    Colquitt Thompson

    Resident of Dahlonega Colquitt Thompson, 63, passed away December 10, 2018 in Dawsonville, Ga., after a car accident. The native of Evans County lived the last years of his life in Dahlonega, Ga. He believed in the Lord and was of Baptist Faith.  In his later years he loved his motorcycles.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Michele. Survivors include his mother Vydene Drake of Claxton, Ga.; sister Claudia West of Stockbridge, Ga., and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service was held Thursday, December 13, 2018 at Eastside Baptist Church. Burial followed at Canoochee Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.   In remembrance of Colquitt you may make donations…
